More than bragging rights are on the line in the Sooners/Seminoles matchup

Governor Fallin hopes to savor the sweet taste of victory...literally

By Staff

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. —

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin is looking to taste something sweet from the Sunshine State.  The governor has made a friendly bet with Florida Governor Rick Scott over the outcome of Saturday’s football game between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Florida State Seminoles.

Fallin spokesman Alex Weintz tells us she is expecting to dine soon on a key lime pie when the Sooners win.  Weintz says in the unlikely and unfortunate event the Seminoles prevail, we will send Florida’s governor a Field’s pecan pie made in Pauls Valley.

Fallin is an Oklahoma State University graduate but Weintz says in this case she will be bleeding crimson.  He says “Both her children are OU students so she likes to say it is a bipartisan household.”
