KRMG has confirmed the founder of Kens Pizza and Mazzio's has died.
Ken Selby died Saturday.
Selby opened his first restaurant, Pizza Parlor, in 1961 on 11th Street near Harvard.
He opened his second restaurant a few years later and changed the name to Ken's Pizza.
Mazzio's Corporation now has 165 restaurants in nine states.
Selby's empire included Zio’s Italian Kitchen and Oliveto Italian Bistro.
Selby is a 1958 graduate of Northeastern State University.
