The Jenks HS Band will be hosting the Oklahoma Percussive Arts Society "Day of Percussion" Festival on April 5-6. Fifteen high school and nine university percussion ensembles are scheduled to perform. The Caixa Trio (http://www.caixatrio.com) will be our featured guest artists, presenting clinics on rudimental, Brazilian and African drumming, as well as performing in concert on Saturday evening. The Jenks HS percussion ensemble will perform on Friday evening. Concert tickets for the Caixa Trio will be $5-$10, but the rest of the festival is free and open to the public. Caixa Trio performances are $5-10; High School percussion ensemble is free.
