The Friends of the Catoosa Public Library Foundation, in partnership with Catoosa Masonic Lodge, are proud to present the Second Annual “Whale of a Tale” Arts and Crafts Sale! “Whale of a Tale” Arts and Crafts Sale is a family oriented one-day indoor/outdoor celebration of the Oklahoma Arts! The primary focus of the event is the exhibition of quality Oklahoma Fine Arts & Crafts as well as local Authors, giving audiences the rare opportunity to meet, interact with, and purchase from the actual artisans. Many activities available throughout the day to spark YOUR creative mind as well -- let that inner child come out to play! Handcrafted items of all types will be available for purchase (can we say EARLY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING?!). This is a great opportunity to see local Oklahoma talent strut their stuff! Speaking of strutting! Attention parents and grandparents!!! Start putting together your little darling's crafty fall themed and blue outfits -- we are having a Whale of a Pageant!!! "Our Diamond Miss" is presenting a "natural" pageant for boys and girls, age 0 - 19 the day of the event! Pageant begins at 12:30pm, be sure to get there early for signup. Bring a folding chair and your sweetie pies to crawl and strut their way into everyone's hearts! And our newest section -- an Artist's Stroll! Come take a peek into the minds of these amazingly creative thinkers! And for the kids -- Halloween costume contest! Also on display, student art from Pine Street Art Center -- contributions from students ages 6 - 70! Another treasure on site -- educational puppeteers offering information of their services for daycares and schools regarding bullying and other tough topics.
